Minnesota / IA/ WI / Florida Permit to Carry
This 6-8hr course is designed to exceed the legal requirements so that you can apply for your permit to your local Sheriff. If you're looking for a quick class, this is not it--it is the most comprehensive Permit to Carry class in Minnesota! During this course, you'll learn about developing a personal protection plan, including understanding mental preparation and the "color codes of awareness"; you'll learn about the four legal "pillars" guiding the use of deadly force in MN; you'll study pertinent MN statutes and how they apply to permit holders; and you'll also learn about conflict avoidance. We believe that our legal section is the best that Minnesota training has to offer, bar none. We've developed this section into an incredibly helpful guide with a "key" on each page, identifying the key points to know for each pertinent MN statute. For those of you interested in broader carry privileges than afforded by the MN Permit to Carry, our curriculum is fully approved by FL and we offer application for that permit as part of our classes.

At the end of the course, the student will have been exposed to (and practiced) shooting positions from all plausible angles while standing, seated, kneeling, prone or supine as well as properly shooting around cover in order to maximize its protective value. Students will also train one handed firearm handling, reloading and malfunction clearing. Unlike the CFS Program, in APH students will be forced to deal with a variety of malfunctions in a way that is congruent with the conditions of an dynamic critical incident.
